Day Before Test

Today was mainly a day to prepare for the test we have tomorrow. Once again, I will have to study a lot. I'm pretty nervous for it, but I really hope I do well. I would love to bring up my math mark!

S.A./Volume Relationships

Today we started off with mental math. We completed ten mental maths, so we had to average eight of them and submit our mark. I got 66% on it.
I'm still very unhappy with my marks, and i would love to improve them. After that we took notes. I understand the notes, but I will need help on the assignment we got that's due for tomorrow. I'm going to go tutoring and hopefully I will leave with a better understanding of some things.

Re-test

Today we did a re-test in math. I think it went better than the first one, but I know if for sure was not perfect. I still need more practice on radicals. After that we had time to work on accelerated math or the assigned exercises.

New Assignment

Today we started off with mental math, and then we got a new assignment that's due before Christmas holidays. Tomorrow we have a re-test on our test #4. I'm really nervous for that; I'm going to have to study a lot.

Solving Rational Expression Equations

We started off class with mental math today. Once we got that all corrected we took more notes. I found it really hard to understand the notes we were taking. I will for sure need to do the exercises assigned to the notes very soon, so then I can get help on it while it's still fresh in my mind. After the notes we had time to work on other math.

Radical Expressions (+ & -)

Today we took more notes on radical expressions. I was pretty confused, but I think I understand the overall idea. I'll just have to do work on it, and work on understanding it better.

Radical Expressions

We didn't do any mental math today. Instead we started taking notes right away. I understood them for the most part, but I can't fully know if I get it or not until I do work on it. After we finished the notes we had time to work on any other math work. I'm still trying to get caught up on accelerated math and a couple of the exercises, so any time we have to just work is always very useful.

Accelerated Math

Today we had the option of taking another test. Since I've been away sick for the past few days I decided that it wouldn't be a good choice for me to take the test. Therefore, I worked on accelerated math. So far I have 35 mastered objectives; I'm still working on getting caught up.

Cosine Laws (continued)

We took more notes on the cosine laws today. I actually understand what we're doing. After the notes, we had time to work on other math.

Sine and Cosine Laws

We took notes today on sine and cosine laws. We also got a cumilative exercise assigned to us. I was happy that we got an assignment to go along with what we learned. I find that I understand things better when I can do work on it, and it sticks with me for a longer time too.

Test Corrections

Today we went over the rest of the test corrections. I'm so glad that we did that. Also, I'm super glad that we get to do a retest. I'm going to have to study a lot and really work on all of the rational and irrational numbers. That's what we did today in math.

Test Corrections

Today we started off class with mental math. Then, we went over the test we took on Wednesday. We went over 8 sections. That was really helpful; I'm glad we did that. After that, we had time to work on any other math. I found this class to be very useful.

Work Period

We had a work period in math class. Once again, that was very helpful. I was able to figure out some things and get some more questions done on accelerated math.

Test!!

We took our fourth test in math. I'm almost positive that it'll be my worst test so far. I'm not happy about that. Before the next test I'm going to work on radicals a lot because that was the hardest thing for me to do on the test. Unforunately, I left a lot of those questions blank, which I know will affect my mark in a negative way.

Trigonometry Continued

Today we took more notes on trigonometry. They went fairly well. Tomorrow we have a test which I'm really nervous for; I'll for sure have to study tonight. Plus, I'll go to tutoring. So, hopefully I'll know what I'm doing for tomorrow.

Trigonometry

Today we started off with mental math. That went fairly well today. Then, we took notes on trigonometry. I understood some things, but some things I didn't get. Hopefully the more we work on it, the more I'll be able to get it. On Wednesday we have a test, so I hope that tomorrow we can go over everything that'll be on the test.

More Simplification With Radicals

Today we went over more problems with radicals. I understood what we did to the most part. However, I think I will do the optional joke sheet so I can get it down pat.

Work Period

Today we did mental math and then we had time to work on other math. I finished a test in accelerated math. I was really happy about that.

Rationalizing Denominators

Today we started off with mental math. It wasn't my best day for that. Then, we took more notes on rationalizing denominators. I'm pretty sure I understand it. After that, we had time to work on other math work.

Solving Exponential Equations & Rationalizing Denominators

Today we took notes on solving exponential equations, and I pretty much understood everything. I was really happy about that. We also took notes on rationalizing denominators, and the stuff we did do I understood. Therefore, that all went well. Then we had some time to work on a.m. I'm trying to get caught up in that, so it was nice to have that extra time to work on it.

Notes

Today we took more notes, and I pretty much understand them. That was a relief. Then, we took time to work on accelerated math. I'm getting closer to finishing my exercise. It takes me so long though because I'll finish all that I know how to do, but I need to get help on all the others. So, that takes a while to get the help I need, but I'll keep on working on it.

Work Period

Today we got a chance to work on accelerated math and assignments. I know how to do excercise 21 now. So, I was very happy about that. This weekend I hope I'll be able to complete a exercise on accelerated math. That would help me get caught up a lot.

Work Period

Today was a day where we could get caught up on stuff, get help, and hand stuff in. I was so thankful for that. I really like these days because I always leave the classroom feeling like I'm finally getting caught up.

Simplifying Radicals

We went over more questions in class altogether on simplifying radicals. I found that very useful, as I understand it a lot better now. Now, I'm hoping that I'll actually be able to understand the exercises and get them done.

Rules for Exponents

Today we learned more rules for exponents. I came in late, so I wasn't really too sure what was going on. I'm hoping that once I listen to the recording I'll be able to understand and get the questions done.

Exponents & Radicals

Today we learned about exponents and radicals. We learned how real numbers are classified. I understood the notes we took, so I hope I'll be able to do the exercise 20 questions 1-7.

Test Questions

We went over questions today that will be on our test tomorrow. I'm really nervous for the test. I'm not really understanding what we're working on right now. So, hopefully after I work on more questions and get some help I'll understand things better.

Parallel/Perpendicular Lines

Today we started off with mental math. I got a better mark than what I normally do, so I was pretty happy about that. Then, we got our 2nd test back. I was quite happy with my mark. Hopefully the next test will go well too. After that, we took notes on the relationships between parallel/perpendicular lines. I think I pretty much understand.

Practice

We started off class today with mental math. I keep on trying to improve my mark, but today I got the same mark that I do most of the time. I'll have to keep on working on that. Then, we went over questions in class that we found difficult. That was quite helpful. Hopefully now I'll be able to get the exercise questions done. That's what we did in math today.

Linear Equations (Forms)

We learned two more forms for linear equations. I thought I understood them, but then I tried to do the exercises and it wasn't so successful. I'll try to work on them later, but I think I'll need to get somebody to explain it to me again.

Work Period

We had another work period because many people were missing. I was so happy about that! I finally am getting caught up. I worked on finishing exercise 6. That's what we did in math today.

Work Period

Today was a work period in math. I was very, very thankful for that. I don't know if I could have handled something new. I still have a lot of stuff I need to get caught up on. Also, since I missed last Friday's class I don't have the exercise finished that was assigned on that day. Therefore, I have a ton of math to do.

Linear Equations (Forms)

We learned 1 form today for linear equations in math. I think I mostly understand how to do it. However, since I wasn't at the last math class it was kind of hard for me to know what was all being talked about. Hopefully I'll catch on.

Slopes

In math today we learned about ways to solve for a slope. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I understand what we learned. We have to do exercise 7 on slopes. However, there are still a few questions on exercise 10 that I don't know how to do, so I'll have to figure those out. That's what we did today.

Test

Today in math we had a test. It was our second test, and I think I did better than the last one, but I guess I'll have to wait and see. Those silly mistakes can be cruel. I couldn't get the bonus question, but at least that won't take away from my overall mark. Once you finished the test you had time to work on accelerated math. I started to work on it, but my brain was pretty fried from the test. That's what happened in math today.

Day Before Test

So tomorrow we have our second math test. Therefore, today we went over everything that'll be on our test. On our test will be polynomials, factoring, distance between points, and midpoints. I'll for sure have to study. After we did that, we got some time to work on our math questions, which is always nice. That's what happened in math today.

Mid Point

Today we took notes and learned how to find the mid point. I think I understand how to do it, but there's no doubt that I need more practice.

Test Back

We finished 10 mental maths. My average was 60%...I'm not too happy with that. We also got our tests back from last week. I'm hoping to do better on our next test. I'll need to work on math a lot this week, and I have to start going to tutoring.

Work Period

I was very glad to find out that today was just for working, and figuring things out. I understand how to find the distance between points now! I'll for sure of homwork to do tonight, because I have a lot of catching up to do. So, hopefully I'll remember how to do everything. Also, on mental math today I got 4.5, so I was very happy about that. However, my average for all of my mental math was 60%..not so good.

Analytic Geometry(Continued)

First of all, in math, we did mental math. Unfortunately, today was not my best day, and one of the reasons it wasn't so good is because I don't really understand what we're learning right now. We're learning about ways to find the distance between points. We continued the notes from yesterday, and now I understand how to do the notes from yesterday, but I don't really understand what we did today. I did ask somebody else to show me, and it made a bit more sense. However, I still don't fully understand it.

Analytic Geometry

Today in math, we did mental math..I put two of them in the wrong spot, so I got them wrong even thought I knew them. That was upseting. Then, we learned about "analytic geometry". I think I understand some of it, but most definately not all of it. I'm for sure going to need to refresh my memory on it more.

More Factoring

In math today, we learned new ways to factor. It was more in depth than the first time we learned how to factor. I think I understand, but it'll take me awile to fully get it. I'm hoping that once I do the practice exercise I'll understand it completely. That's what we did in math today.

Test Today

Today, we had our first math test. I thought I knew everything, and I think I did okay on the test. However, there was one question that really stumped me. I couldn't figure out how to do it, and I remember talking about a question like that. Also, I couldn't get the bonus question. That's how the test went for me.

Day Before Math Test

Today, we went over stuff that will be on our math test tomorrow. I think I understand most of the stuff that'll be on the test tomorrow, but I'm not positive. The stuff that'll be on our test is multiplying polynomials, factoring, and long division of polynomials by binomials.
